We did not have our Thanksgiving festivities today; Rachel and Destry planned to have that tomorrow, and Angelica and Ray and Julia and Thomas with kids will be here. But that did not meant laying around doing nothing on their part. Rachel baked several pies and Destry made some stuffing. Destry also prepared supper. And no day is really quiet with twin 2½-year-olds in the house. Just ask Grandma and Grandpa!
Elaine and I, on the other hand, did little activity beyond reading or working on our respective tablets. This afternoon we took a nap – or at least rested quietly for an hour or so. I guess we needed that after our hectic day before.
Part of the activity is the noise. Cody loves to use his plastic hammer, and hammers on most of his toys. Both young ones are very vocal as well, and talk and sing a lot.
We are amazed at how active those little ones are. Destry and Rachel are used to them, of course, while we don’t experience it often. Sometimes it is hard to get photos of them because they move so quickly and so often; Cody especially.
