We went to Babbo’s Italian Eatery again tonight. Pete Petersen and Leisa Herbst went with us this time. It was Pete’s first time; Leisa had been there a long time ago. Once again, great meals. I had the Pasta Puglia (Fresh Tomato Brodo, Fresh Mozzarella, Italian Sausage topped with Fresh Basil and Shaved Parmesan Cheese. Served on Fusilli), Elaine had Crusted Parmesan Chicken, Pete had Chicken Artichoke Calzone, and Leisa had a tomato pasta dish (sorry, I don’t remember).
Needless to say, we all brought leftovers home. Elaine and I have leftovers for at least two more meals each. Yum!
Though I joined Ace Hardware’s reward program some time ago, I only remembered and started using it a month or so ago. So I was surprised to receive in the mail a couple of weeks ago two $5 coupons; one valid this week and last and the other valid the next two weeks. Then I got another $5 coupon in the mail; this one is good until sometime in September. And I think I received another by email that is good until end of August. For the first two I had to purchase at least $20 worth; I don’t remember the conditions on the others.
So today Elaine and I went to Barry’s Ace Hardware and did some minor shopping. I took advantage of the coupons to buy a couple of items I will need sometime down the road though I don’t at the moment. All told, we ended up with about $25 in value so we got $5 off. It was worth it. Will we find something to buy next week? Who knows!
It’s newsletter time again, and I have been working on the August issue over the last few days. I am about half done with the stuff I can do without outside news and should have the rest by the end of the week. With the Social Club meeting coming up this Saturday I should be able to finish it soon after.
