Elaine went to The Paper Collage in Sun City West for a card class today, only to find out those classes have been canceled for the time being. Apparently she did not get the email that Pamela sent out. But that was OK; Pam invited her to come on in and work on some cards anyway! She’s good that way. This is the shop Elaine and Jan Ostlund go to often because they like the shop and the quality of their material and instruction.
I decided to go along, drop her off, and then visit some RV consignment businesses in the West Valley. There are three out there.
I had been in contact with AZ RV Supercenter in Mesa and sent them the info brochure about our Phaeton I had prepared. I had not heard back from them so I called this morning. They said they were not interested in our higher-end motorhome and had passed the information along to Fountain Hills RV in Fountain Hills. I called that place and was told they also were not interested in taking in our Phaeton for consignment. So that ruled out the East Valley.
I interviewed both RV Consignment Specialists and Sun City RV, giving each a copy of my Phaeton pamphlet for info. Both firms operate their consignment program much the same and both were interested in taking on our Phaeton. I felt better about dealing with Sun City RV but will do some research on both such as finding reviews. We’ll make our decision soon. At this point I think we will definitely go the consignment route because it will yield a higher price to us than either a direct dealer sale or a trade-in.
