Tonight we joined a group of 35 people from Royal Palm celebrating the November Birthday Bash at the Texas Roadhouse in MetroCenter. The first Birthday Bash was in July, and the group size has grown larger every month and meets at a different place. Only a few of the people at the Birthday Bash are actually celebrating their birthday this month, but that does not matter. The rest of us come along for the fun of getting together and getting out! Texas Roadhouse is not one of the restaurants Elaine and I like to go to, because of the noise. But this is the atmosphere of that chain and many people go there because of it.
We left early because Elaine was getting too worn out from the experience. I was surprised that she even went, but she wanted to be with the group and so stuck it out as long as she could.
Elaine heard back from FastMed today; that’s the urgent care place she (finally) went to on Tuesday. They had sent her sample in for culturing in order to determine if a change in antibiotic was needed. It was. FastMed said they had sent a prescription to Walgreens for a different one, because the infecting agent was a staph bacterium instead of what she usually has. She has started taking the new one, and we hope it will give better results and soon!
I spent several hours working on the December newsletter today, making good progress. I still have the Spotlight interview to do; I made a call today to try to set one up.
I got an email from Netflix this morning letting me know that Season 6 of Longmire is running, so we watched the first episode tonight. We have been waiting months to see Henry get off that cursed anthill!
