Elaine uses her tablet or her smartphone much of the time while sitting in her recliner. In the past she just held the device in her hands, but she complained that after some time her hands would hurt. Granddaughter Taylor told her about an expandable button that can be attached to the back of the phone or tablet around which you place a couple of fingers and this avoids having to grip the tablet or phone. I got her one of those and it worked fine, but her fingers still got tired. Then she spotted a different device intended for the same purpose and I ordered that. We were back at The Home Depot again this afternoon; this time to return some items purchased a couple of days ago and to purchase some others. Pete Petersen took advantage of our trip to go along and buy some lumber items he needed for projects he is working on. And Kerby and Gizmo went again, too. They love to go shopping! They didn’t get as much attention today as the last time, but they still enjoyed it. I just had to buy some shelf supports and some brackets; I am going to install them on the outside of the shed and use them to hang an extension ladder to get it out of the way. We had a good breakfast at IHOP this morning; I had a short stack of pancakes, free for doing an online review last time, plus sausage and ate part of Elaine’s omelet.
Then at 10:00 we attended the monthly Social Club meeting. It was a good meeting, with lots of residents in attendance. We bought the cake and doughnuts for the meeting at Albertson’s after we had breakfast; the cake honors the January birthday members, including Elaine. Continue reading IHOP. Social Club. Newsletter.
