Interior at Kiss The Cook
The interior at Kiss The Cook is kitschy-cute

“Every meal served with a kiss!” That’s the motto at Kiss The Cook (KTC), a favorite restaurant on W Glendale Ave in Glendale and where we went for breakfast this morning. The kiss, of course, is a Hershey’s Kiss placed on your bill at the end of the meal. The decor at KTC is eclectic, with mostly kitschy antiques and household items. We ate inside, but they also have outside seating. On Saturdays you should plan to get there by 7:45 AM at the latest, for it gets quite busy after 8:00! Continue reading Busy day. Neighbor update.

People lined up for potluck foods

Tonight had the monthly potluck supper event at the Clubhouse here in Royal Palm. There were around 25 people there, much fewer than when the winter visitors are here, but still a fun size group. As usual, there were some great selections of food. I always like potlucks because there is so much from which to choose. I have learned to be very cautious at the start of the food line and not overload with the early items only to find some equally great ones further down. Elaine made a garden salad and an apple pie. The pie plate came back empty. Continue reading Potluck supper. Breakfast at Kiss The Cook. Nails for Elaine. Newsletter.

My Carrot Cake Pancake breakfast, with sausages

Saturday Breakfast Out was at Kiss The Cook in Glendale, a place we like to go to if we can get there early enough to avoid the rush and wait lines. Getting there around 7:45 accomplished that. Shauna spotted the Spinach Omelet on the board outside and had that, and I spotted the Carrot Cake Pancakes and had that. Elaine had Oatmeal with the works. It was such a nice day that we decided to eat on the outdoor patio at the front. Very comfy, but somewhat noisy. My sausage with my meal provided some leftovers for the boys, which they “attacked” me for upon arriving at home. Continue reading Kiss The Cook for breakfast. Quilting shopping. Kiss The Cook. Bye, John.

My Cajun Omelet

We took John back to his truck this morning so he could continue on his routes. Since he did not need to be there to pick up his load until around 11:00 we stopped for breakfast at Kiss the Cook in Glendale along the way. We eat there on occasion, but have not been there for some time. It was good to be back. I had the New Orleans Cajun Omelet, and great spicy dish that I could not finish. Elaine had Oatmeal with raisins and walnuts, and John had the Country Breakfast. The restaurant looks like a antique shop inside with all the items on display; there is always something to catch  the eye and capture your interest as you wait for your meal to be delivered.
