I hope that everyone who reads this had a happy day and enjoyed celebrating the 241st anniversary of our nation’s independence! I hope that your personal celebration was enjoyable. Elaine and I took part in some of the FRIENDS & FAMILY FUN FOURTH AND POTLUCK event that started at 10:00 this morning with a golf cart parade, followed by a Poker Run at 11:00, and then a hot dog cookout and potluck lunch at noon. Most people were dressed special for the day, and the eight or so golf carts and scooters that took part in the parade were all festively decorated in red, white, and blue. Elaine did a wash job on the golf cart today – wow, it sure looks great again! (She also washed half the driveway as well.) That was in preparation for decorating it for the golf cart parade tomorrow morning. After swimming this afternoon we did the decorations and now it is ready to go. Today was Hallowe’en Parade day. Several of us decorated our golf carts and some others decorated their motorized scooters. We all gathered at noon and headed out driving slowly around the streets of the Park. Many of us made a lot of noise blowing our horns, and Marv had some seasonal music playing on his golf cart. Many residents were out front of their houses to watch the parade go by; Elaine and I as well as a couple of others had bags of candy which we handed out to the watchers.
